About

logoWelcome to Hudson’s Halfway Home, a non-profit 501c3 organization. Please read the information on this page because it will answer several of your questions as well as provide you with other important information.

HHWH, Decatur, IL, started as a pug and other small dog rescue. The rescue founder quickly learned she had a passion to save puppies with special needs.

We will take in puppies with/without special needs and if space is available we will still take in pugs, bostons, and some other small breed dogs as needed.

We will not consider any dog adoptable until they are at least 12 weeks old more often at least 20 weeks old, have been vaccinated, spayed/neutered, micro chipped, and are in good health. Please do not ask us when the puppies will be adoptable, we will post when we are taking applications.

Adoption fees vary from dog to dog as not all dogs require the same medical treatment. Normally fees will range from $150-$350. Believe us we invest way more than we ask.

Please take the time to throughly read our posts. More often than not they will answer all your questions. We both have full time jobs, families, and pets of our own to care for. It is very time consuming to answer questions over and over again.

Thank you all for your continued support. We could not be as successful as we are without all your support.

Thank you
